The Pentair‡ Pentek‡ ECP Series Cartridges manufactured from a special formulation of resin-impregnated cellulose and polyester fibers. This unique blend of materials provides superior wet strength compared to regular cellulose cartridges, ensuring durability and reliability.
Designed for high flow rates and dirt-holding capacity, ECP Series Cartridges maintain extremely low pressure drop, optimizing filtration efficiency. The media is pleated around a polypropylene core for added strength, while the pleated endcaps are immersed in thermo-setting vinyl plastisol or feature molded endcaps with gaskets for secure sealing.
To simplify identification of micron ratings, ECP Series Cartridges feature color-coded endcaps: tan (1 micron), white (5 micron), blue (20 micron), and yellow (50 micron).
Additionally, ECP Cartridges contain more media surface area than most competitive cartridges, providing enhanced filtration performance. For example, the Standard 10" ECP cartridge contains 6 ft2 of media compared to the typical 4.5 ft2 found in other cartridges.
